MUDFLAT CHALLENGES

Each semester we invite the entire Mudflat community to create works in clay that respond to a theme. Participants have most of a semester (12-14 weeks) to think about, design and make their piece. Every piece that is submitted is accepted for a group exhibition. Each artist is asked to write 2-3 sentences describing how their piece relates to the theme and what prompted them to make this work.

Mudflat is a nonprofit, 501(C)3 organization. Mudflat is funded in part by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency, and the Somerville Arts Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council. We also receive support from foundations, corporations, and individuals.
